SUNY Research Foundation

Undergraduate Research Fellow

Autonomous Intelligent Robotics Lab - Binghamton, NY

  • Developed RL agent to compare properties of physical objects with those of theoretical objects being discussed conversationally with a human.

  • Publication: Planning to submit to AAMAS 2022 conference.

  • Research Advisors: Shiqi Zhang (zhangs@binghamton.edu) and Jivko Sinapov (jsinapov@cs.tufts.edu)

SIDE PROJECTS

No-Electricity Claw Machine

  • Made a working Claw Machine out of recycled materials.

  • Used syringes connected by tubes as sort of "air-hydraulics."

  • Check out videos of it in action here and here.

Mars Rover Project

  • Worked in a team to develop a rover at Binghamton University.

  • Member of the Primary Software & Autonomous Navigation teams.

  • See the Mars Rover in action by clicking here.

ZooML for HackBU 2021

  • Participated in a team of four students.

  • We made an overlay for popular video conferencing software "Zoom."

  • The overlay performs realtime facial expression analysis on participants of the call.

  • We had to make the whole thing from scratch in under 24 hours.

  • We won four HackBU 2021 prizes for this:

    • #1 Best Hack Overall

    • Best Machine Learning Hack

    • Best Civic Engagement Hack

    • Best Building a Better Future Hack.

  • Check out our submission video here!

Book Authorship: "A.I. for Anybody"

  • Wrote a book which explains the mathematics behind neural networks to an uninformed reader, aiming to alleviate some of the fear around the unknowns of artificial intelligence.

  • Published the physical book to Amazon, and eBook to Kindle.

  • You can check it out here.

Jerry the A.I. Butler

  • Invented a digital butler in Python with:

    • Facial Recognition

    • Speech Recognition

    • DNN Chatbot System

    • Surveillance & Security System

    • Touchscreen User Interface

    • The ability to send radio signals (via an Arduino) to control the lights, fan, and other electronics in my bedroom

    • Alarm to wake me up in the morning

    • Music Playing Capabilities

    • Weather Reports using Text-To-Speech

  • With a focus on privacy, Jerry keeps all data stored locally and off the internet.

"As Good As It Gets" Card Game

  • Founded Game Quill LLC to sell a card game I made, called "As Good As It Gets."

  • Reached 425% of my funding goal on Kickstarter, raising over $21,000 in two months

  • I've participated in numerous business pitch competitions

    • I was a state finalist in the NYBPC for 2019, 2020, and 2021.

  • See the Kickstarter page here.

  • See the online store here.

Published "Curiosity" on Steam Marketplace

  • Made a very simple video game with a unique concept.

  • "Curiosity" has over 18 million impressions, over 15,000 downloads, and very positive reviews on the Steam marketplace.

  • You can see the Steam page for the game here.
